A free program that lets you send tweets from Firefox.

The microblogging service Twitter can be used also from Firefox with Instant Tweets, a free extension for Firefox (compatible with versions 2 and 3) sending tweets instantly from the web address bar by clicking the blue bird icon or from the mouse clicking the right mouse button. The user can send a tweet by typing content directly into the address bar or sending the page you are currently visiting one.

It includes a character counter so that the text doesn't exceed a limit (which is 140 characters). With Instant Tweets you can send messages by clicking the right mouse button over the image and then selecting Tweet this pic. And you can also send text together with the link of a website.
